Giant’s Causeway Engagement Shoot
I’m often asked why I think engagement shoots are a good idea. The main reason is because they can help you get relaxed in front of the camera. Kyla & Nathan’s Giant’s Causeway Engagement Shoot did just that and they had some of the most amazing conditions I’ve ever shot in.
I usually try and plan my engagement shoots just before sunset as the light is usually much better then. Conditions were great on the drive down but as I got closer to the Causeway Coast, I began to drive into sea mist. I knew that would put an end to getting any golden hour light at sunset, but I also knew that it would produce some very unique and moody conditions for their engagement photos. I quickly rang Kyla and we decided we would make a very quick stop at Dunseverick Castle first as I knew it would look amazing in these conditions. It didn’t disappoint!

It was then onto the Giant’s Causeway which we had planned was always going to be the main focus for their engagement shoot. Thankfully the sea mist lingered long enough for us to explore the main bay and stones at the Causeway. When you arrive at the Giant’s Causeway you have a few different options. You can either head down to the shoreline and explore the many different bays or else head up onto the high cliff top path which stretches for miles. This cliff top path has some of the most amazing views on the entire Causeway Coastal Route. In fact, I’d probably say it has some of the best views in the whole of Northern Ireland.
Below are just a few of my favourite photos from Kyla & Nathan’s Giant’s Causeway engagement shoot.
