Majella & Mike – Their Galgorm Wedding
Another beautiful Galgorm wedding on the blog today.
What can I say about Majella & Mike – seriously, two of the nicest people I think I’ve ever met! Their wedding day was so chilled and relaxed and an absolute joy to be a part of.
How did you both meet?
We both studied law together at the University of Manchester, however, our paths wouldn’t cross until our final year at the Law Ball. As one date led to another and another, we knew we had something special and the rest is history.
How / where did you get engaged?
We were in Paris celebrating 4 years together. On our second day in Paris, Mike had arranged to take a short midnight walk from our hotel to a beautiful church which was featured in one of our favourite films Midnight in Paris. As midnight came, Mike got down on one knee right by the beautiful church steps and asked me to marry him. There was lots of crying and screaming (all out of happiness).
What did you most enjoy about planning your wedding?
We really loved the build-up right before the big day, finishing up the last few details and seeing everything starting to come together and seeing how excited our friends and family were for us. It really was such a special time for us and something we will really treasure for years to come.
Have you one piece of advice that you could give any brides-to-be?
It is the best day of your lives and really goes in so quickly. Enjoy every single minute of it and try not to stress during the planning stages, everything will fall into place and those little things you worried about really don’t matter on the day.
